Adjustable proportioning brake valve

Ok, I went to 35" tire on my 77 F-150 and MAN did it affect the braking power of the truck!
So here's the deal, I'm not looking to do a 3000.00 "Big Brake kit" upgrade but am thinking about the once clogged P valve for the rear brakes. I think i got the valve all cleared out at least enough to bleed the rears, and the rears do work but will not lock-up even with no load and fully stomping on the brakes.
So I'm thinking about an adjustable P. Valve to help to get the rears working harder, especially now that i have the heavy Ford Topper on it.
Some 1st hand knowledge on the subject is desired and would be appreciated.

Ana djustable prop valve is not going to increase line pressure. If you have a restriction in the original prop valve, replace the valve with an OEM unit.
That multi function valve is fairly complex, and bypassing it is probably not the best choice.
Since you have drum brakes in the back, and you are unable to lock them up, one might suspect the adjustment, or maybe even contaminated shoes.
Provided that the system is bled, and the fluid is fresh, you should be able to clamp down on the binders fairly well.
Disc brake kits are an option, and are cheap for the 9 inch. Thats another option.

Here is a good article on brakes that might help some.
Nothing in it seems like it would be outrageously priced.
It is a Bronco article but helps for trucks too

I think the major overhaul above would be great but just isn't feasible for me with this truck.
And the deal with the adj p valve is that it can be adjusted to squelch LESS of the full line psi coming from the master cylinder then the OEM valve does thus giving the wheel cylinders more psi

Thats understandable but there is a good chance that you are not going to get the brakes that you want that way. JBG has a reasonably priced disc brake conversion kit that might help get what you want. Its around $300. 9inch 1979-86 Disc Brake Conv. 3/8 Studs
Might also be a good idea to make sure your current braking system is in good shape as 75F350 suggested.

That's more the price id start to consider doing a upgrade. But like many other upgrades the price of the kit is often not even half the total price when all is said and done. I'd still need a adj P valve if i add rear discs and then what about parking brakes?

I'm still hoping for a "ya, i tried that and it DOESNT work" or "I thought of doing the same thing, did it, and man what a difference!"

I'm going to put my thoughts into action and I'll be sure to come back with a full report of the "rear oem proportioning valve bypass/addition of adjustable properties"

and after read a lengthy tread on the brakes section, I purchased some "carbon-metallic" pads for the front. These will go on today and should show improvement over the el-cheapo 12 dollar pads on there now.
The physical characteristics of these pads over normal pads is amazing so lets just see how well that translates on the road

WHEW HOOO!!!! aLRIGHT GUYS JUST PUT THE pERFORMANCE FRICTION CARBON-METALIC PADS ON THE FRONT ANd(caps sorry) what a diff.! the front tires were actually tryin to lock up during my bed-in process. I can actually lock the fronts up!
Now these agressive pads arent 4 everyone, they will eat up my rotors but with the amount of driving i do(in the 4X) it'll take yrs if not decades untill i need to replace them.

Now the adj. proportioning valve is coming and im guessin that'll fix the rear
