I came across this truck (my guess a 56 F100) with this front end and have no clue what these parts came off of or what type of vehicle they belonged to. I'm interested in knowing what are? Edsel? LOL.... Have fun guessing what they are.
Chrysler headlights were originally mounted vertical and had a peak at the top that extended forwards further than the rest of the bezel. The 59 Chev headlights were originally mounted horizontal and the bezel was symetrical all around, that's what these appear to be.
Look a little closer at the right headlight it seems to have the peak and chrysler headlights of that era were on a angle in fact just like wmjoe1953 picture shows. I know it's early in the morning.
OK, after trolling thru "The Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946/75," I agree on the headlamps not being Chrysler, but 1958 Edsel has similar headlamp doors to the 1959 Chitty-lay.
Age of eyes and relatively dark photo has more to do with it, than the time of day.
I say the whole grill/headlight assembly is off of a Chrysler 300. Find a picture of a 300 and I bet you'll agree that it is the same thing. And to answer your question no I don't have a picture of a 300 that I can post.
I agree with Flathead John, both the grille and headlights are from the Chrysler. The grille appears to be a '62, because it lacks the word "Chrysler" on the upper surround like the '61 has (although I suppose it could have been filled in).
Look at the Chryslers in the ads. In both cases, the headlight that is tilted toward the camera appears to have no peak. The other one does. It's the same way in the original poster's photo. The camera angle makes the nearer headlight appear to have no peak.
