I am so excited that I have found the pickup that I have been looking for for a long time. It is a 2006 F-250 with the mighty V10. It has all of the options that I wanted, even down to the color. The hard part of this is that I have to wait until this Saturday to look at it.
I found it over the internet on a Dealers lot a ways from where I live. They quoted me a price of about $5600 below blue book which sounds like a very good deal to me. It has 21K miles on it. I got Oasis and Carfax reoports run on it and all checks out good. The salesperson that I talked to said that if I put down a small deposit, they would hold it for me, which I did.
Hopefully everything will check out OK when I look at it, including taking it out for a test drive. If it does and they give me a decent price on trade in, it will be mine.
Now for the request. Any advice on what to check or look for would be appreciated. Opinions or comments are welcome as well.
ford manual, the key for the spare tire, dust boots, test 4low, what spinella states is true a jog so get away with what you can if there is a problem. Ask for an oasis on the truck and don't forget a full tank of gas
An '06 with 21K miles on it is still under factory warranty. My suggestion for a 3V is to listen closely for any kind of ticking or tapping in the valvetrain.
