2003 psd weight
i found a place to take my junk motor and heads...1.5 cents per pound...anyone knopw around how much the motor and heads weigh? has cam and oil pan..thats it.

If the cam is not destroyed don't scrap it sell it. Fords wants $500+ for the cam. So you will get more selling it then scraping it.

oh really.....thr rods and piston and everything is fine. just cracked block

I would scrap the block and try to sell everything else. If you don't have any luck it won't be a big deal, I don't see the price of steel dropping any time soon.

The heads are considered junk too, i would say your block and heads weigh about 650lbs.

now dad isnt sure if they said 1.50 or 15 cents?
what seems more reasonable, I cant find prices online anywhere.

where should I try selling the motor internals? I never have any luck selling on fte in classifieds

15 cents probably.. last time i went to the scrap yard steel was $270 a ton, aluminum was 16 cents a pound, copper was up there..dont remeber exactly.

Call a couple scrap yards and get a quote b4 you take it . Prices can vary from yard to yard. At least with copper and alum. its that way.
