I have a lot of questions, because it looks like either I have the wrong fuel filter installed for the light duty OR I have the right fuel filter installed in the wrong location on the heavy duty. I didn't want to ask these questions because I didn't want to look stupid...but what the hell! Also, what is the cylindrical part installed in the drawing of the heavy duty...where my fuel filter is installed?
It is getting a little confusing since your fuel pump is in the middle of the block. Is there a block off plate on your timing cover? Its possible my Ford literature has been doctored, I see coolant lines off the thermostat which goes to the carb spacer, and a canister type oil filter, two features that were omitted on the light duty 262's for '64.
