I just bought (a few hours ago), a 86 F250 4x4 w/6.9L diesel and a rebuilt C6 (20k miles).
When going do the road, the tranny does not want to immediately do the 2-3 shift (around 35-40MPH). When the truck finally hits the 2-3 shift it shifts HARD!
The PO also installed a new vacuum modulator on the side of the C6. I don't believe the vacuum pump on the 6.9 is the issue since the brakes work fine.
What do I need to do to get the C6 to do the 2-3 Shift normally ?
