Very new to painting so I won't be offended by anything you say. I layed down a base white coat and followed up with clear. The clear went on like I sprayed it with a dry wall texture gun. I got a few ideas from friends and went back and tried again after sanding off most the clear. This time I bumped the psi at the gun up to 40 from 35psi and went slower with my strokes to put it on thicker. It definitely went on thicker, so much so that it began to run. I will see what I have after doing a bunch of wet sanding.
I am using a PPG brand of clear and the strange part is I can't find anywhere that it says to reduce it, so I'm mixing 4:1 with the 1 part being the hardener. One of my questons is should I be thinning this stuff out with a reducer? Any other suggestions? Fortunatly the fender is off the car and I'm sort of playing around right not but would like to have it done before the weather starts to turn cold up north here.
