E4OD or AOD. A quick tell is the shift **** may have the OD cancel button. This will be the E4OD. The AOD will only have the numbers on the shift selector (P R N OD 2 L)
Correct me fellas if I am wrong please.
92 should be a wee bit early for the AODE which also had OD cancelling buttons (I have seen em on dashes and levers - not sure what the rule is)
anyways, the AOD gear indicator is OD D 1 with manual 2 selectable by just putting it in 1 <65, >25 (which freaks people out, but its there and I dont think advertised)

The shifter has the OD cancel button that the previous owners dog chewed off
I'm thinking that it was caused by rubbing going through a cross ditch.
Figured you were from BC somewhere. Where else in the world to they cross ditch perfectly good roads?
Please keep us informed of your findings. I hope the best.
Should be an E4OD. Pains in the ***, and expensive to rebuild. Although they are tough. Mine had 175K on it b4 the ex wife burnt it up. Mine still leaks a little. Hard to find a good tranny guy for those.
