My new Warn hubs

Well I finally got around to installing my Warn hubs last week. It was pretty simple the biggest problem I had was trying to find the dang allen wrench to fit. I had my wheel off looking for a clunk that I had, I found it after looking at the U-joints, the mechanic that put my new Balljoints in under warrenty had left an angled grease alimit hanging down and it was hitting the U-joint.

The hubs work great they are extremely easy to lock in compared to the OEM hubs. I do have a slight problem though, since they were installed I have had a slight chirping when they are locked in weather they are in 4wd or 2wd. I noticed the chirp slightly before I changed the hubs and not it is alot more promenate, what could it be guys?

Anyways if anyone is thinking about doing this conversion do it. They work great simple to do and reliable. I used these instructions to install them https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...ml#post5719054

congrats on the install..looks good..now when you lock the hubs.you know there locked... could the dust shield be rubbing on the rotor?? how is the u-joint on the axel?? maybe the grease fitting hitting it loosened the joint up...did you lock them on dry pavment?? if so..does it chirp on dirt??

Nice work! I have a question....does your truck have shift on the fly auto, or the standard floor shift. Only reason I ask is I have shift on the fly and also have manual hubs...Im not really understanding that just yet.

The OEM locking hubs are a backup so that when (not if) the ESOF fails you can manually lock the hubs and still have 4x4. When the ESOF fails, the climate control defaults to defrost when the 4x4 is engaged.

Thanks guys they look great and work great as well. My truck was the ESOF as most of them are I would give anything to have the maunal shifter in the floor on a Lariat, I have only seen one. Kris when I took it for that test drive I hadn't plugged them off, could that have been the clicking.

The u-joints don't look damaged so just look nicked from the angle alimite.
