My brother has a 67 1/2 ton with a 352, and a 3 speed manual trans with overdrive. The truck is pretty well junk at this point. Even some engine parts are missing now. (brackets and pullys and such) I am sure the trans is worth pulling as it worked fine when he parked it years ago. Any idea on a value for the trans? What else should i grab before it gets crushed? The rear end is gone already. Thanks, Eric

This Warner T-85N O/D trans was available on 1965/72 F100's with 240/300 & 352/360/390 engines. It's a tough trans to find today, especially when complete.
When you remove it, make sure to get the O/D cable, the O/D relay on the firewall, the complete O/D wiring loom and the kickdown switch above the accelerator pedal. Get the driveshaft, also.
The Warner O/D with a 352/360 or 390 will increase the gas mileage on the highway by at least 35%.
In town, it makes no difference, as it usually kicks in around 35 MPH.
My 1965 has this trans, the average MPG: 390 w/a 3.00-1 ratio: 22-24 MPG highway. Best was 28.7 MPG on a Route 66 Rod Run between Seligman AZ and Needles CA. Average speed was 45 MPH.
Well, just sold my 3 spd OD from my '64 Galaxie for $100. It's the early bolt pattern version, and I've been trying to figure how to get rid of it for 16 yrs now. Probably worth a bit more then that, but I just wanted it gone. I had the cable and kickdown wiring(button) too.

OH SCHEISS! THAT'S WAY TOO CHEAP!
If I had known I wooda easily have paid that, and the shipping and crating charges to CA.
If you had placed an ad in the Galaxie Club of America newletter for $500.00, it would have sold for that.
That trans also fits 1955/56 Packards and 1956 Studebaker Golden Hawks. There'a a fellow in Duncan Falls (south of Zanesville) who wooda bought it in a NY minute.

Eric,
Let me know what you'd want for that. I've been considering switching out my four speed in my 67.
My brother will be here in a few weeks, and maybe he will make a decision on what to do with it. As i say, there is not much left but maybe i can talk him into parting it out. I will make sure to grab the parts mentioned. Eric
