I will drive Chicago before Atlanta though it probably has more to do with living in that area for quite a number of years. Haven't tried Boston, L.A. is just slow as is Pittsburgh. I am happy now in rural Indiana.

I did a couple years ago. But we just headed out from the airport and a couple weeks later, back in. We were very impressed with the traffic signing when the tunnel was closed and roads detoured. It seemed like it would have been hard to get lost. I don't think that we ever missed our road. But that isn't the everyday all day type of driving like you do.

And if they do use the high beams, they are focused higher then low beams (duh) and would shine right in the eyes of oncoming drivers. I do realize that some people like DRLs but if they cause a hazard for others, I have a problem with that.

Ok, rant over.....
How in the world do you survive driving at night?!! I find that I really appreciate the on headlights on other cars, both oncoming and in the rear. They make those cars so much more visible. I have never been blinded, even mildly, by the headlights on other cars in the daytime. I wish all cars would drive with headlights on during the day.

Warren, I've wondered that too but have no problems with night driving. Eyes have checked out fine. Don't even need glasses for driving anymore. (They're getting better?). On a bright sunny winter day, the reflection off the snow causes me some problems but that is manageable with sunglasses. I just seem to have a "reaction" to the brightness of headlights in daytime. That's why I prefer the amber markers. Guess it's just my problem. Could possibly be a result of many years of welding and getting blinded by the arc before the helmet was in place.

Colin,

Mine was round as well. I'd say that was it. Maybe somebody that knows more than I do (that would be most folks here) will chime in with some quality knowledge. I don't know what other parts are involved other than the resistor. You gotta figure there's more to the story. Anybody got any info here?

Bob
