To give you an idea on how stupid it is in Canada.....The tires alone would have cost me $1500. Add probably another $800-$1200 for the rims.

Anyways, I was also wondering if a front spring leveling kit from ebay is OK to do on my 2005 FX4.

Also can I just go up one or two tire sizes from stock?
Also, is there any problem with engine/trans computer stuff when adding a few more inches to your tire sizes???
That would be the major question I have.

Ya thats where i got mine was ebay but the seller was fat bobs garage and the part was from hell bent steel and add a leaf pro comp. I had 265/75/18 on my truck I beleive its a 04 fx4 and I bought 33's but can fit 35's now no probelm. I bought my truck and the speed was always 5 mph fast dealer said they couldnt do anything cause at the time it was stock tires. I cant get the programer to do it. Odometer seems only to be off maybe .10 and thats a big maybe accoarding to my gps. Even with bigger tires im still 5mph fast. So idk

Ya they told me in michigan that the tires were like 1200 or 1300 I dont remeber and the rims would have been about 1000. I found a place in ohio that got me the same thing mounted and balanced and shipped to my door in 3 days for 1500. Crazy I told the place in michigan I could do that and they were like laughing at me and told me no way in hell I could and if I did order it would be back ordered. Well when I got them on I showed the guy my truck and the sales receipt and he was like give me the name and number to this place so I can buy some to sell. Im like no cause you will jack the price way up to make a huge profit and you wouldnt work with me so why should I with you and walked out laughing. He wants to be an A hole I can too. lol

You don't need to do anything to the rear to fit 35" tires. And you definitely don't want a 3" rear add a leaf if you're looking for a level truck.

the 3" level/add a leaf is just a single leaf for the back, raising it maybe an inch max, and the 3" level for the front. i don't exactly like the trucks with the fully level look as they squat quick with a little load. i use my box all day every day so i could use the extra capacity anyway.

save your self some money and just adjust the tursion bar and pay 35.00 for a alingment. you should get what you want with that, you should be able to get 35 tires in there if that is what your looking for

I have not done this, two of my friend have done it though. they both got about 2 inches more like 1 3/4 they both have 33's. Dont do a tursion key that will put too much stress on the suspension though they just crank the bolt equilly ....

Well from what I have been hearing you cant raise the tursion bars. I heard you could on the older body style but not on this. I dont know how true this is. I have never heard of anyone doing this and I did alot of research before I bought mine. Never seen anything with anyone doing this on the 04- + newer trucks. I put the add a leaf in the back with 3 inch up front. Its a quarter inch low in the front which is no big deal cause if i pull something. Which I do everyonce in a while. The add a leaf add just over a inch I believe it was.
