hello all,

problem - starts good, idles rough, any temp., when I give it a little gas it shutters a little, a little more gas and it seems to smooth out. But it may just seem to smooth out because of higher rpm. Have replaced plugs (looked great), wires, rotor, dist. cap. P.U. has 80,000 mi. and is a 5.8L, 5 speed man. Also, the light is not flashing and there are no codes. I have looked for a couple of days on this site and haven't found my exact problem, although it may be here.
Sorry if this has been covered already.

Also, what kind of mileage should a 97, F-250, SC, 5.8, 5 speed, 4.10 rear, get on the highway.

I had the same problem with my 98 f150. I have about 48,000 miles on mine and it idles and misses in cold temperatures. Just took it to the shop. Turned out to be a clogged injection valve. Hope this can help your situation.
