tech question
today i was driving down the interstate everything was fine. as i pulled off to get some food and came to a stop the truck started to idle real rough. pulled in the parking lot and rpm's wouldn't rise above 1100. called my shop and made sure they had replaced my fuel filters last week, they had. decided to limp to nearest dealership. as i pulled back out on to the road i couldn't get about 10 mph. i had the pedal about half way to floor. then after about 15 seconds a big puff of white smoke came out the exhaust the rpms went up and the turbo kicked in and the truck put me back in the seat. its been runing fine ever since. this was today and i have driven over 200 miles since. i was currently half way thru my tank. filters were changed last week. does anyone have any ideas. i would appreciate all thoughts.

i thought the same thing. it hast been driven about 1000 miles since the filter change prior to the incident. have you ever heard of this taking that long.
i did sound like it was being starved of fuel.
