The 360 and all other FE engines ended production in 1976, so it surely isn't a 360.

What year was the 460 and the 351W available? The 351M wasn't used very long, it was too much of a gas pig.

460 = 1973/79 F100/350 / 1980/96 F250/350

351W = 1981/96 F150/350 & Bronco

351M/400 = 1977/79 F100/350 & Bronco / 1980/82 F150/350 & Bronco

There is no way to discover what this engine is by the casting number, because Ford doesn't list it anywhere in the 1980/89 car & truck parts catalogs.

And...casting numbers cannot be cross referenced to actual part numbers.

It's either a 302 or a 351W, because I know what the 460 casting number is for this time frame, and it isn't E4AE (1984).

If the harmonic balancer is still in place, the stamped ID number will tell what size the engine is, because the balancer is specific to only one engine.

1984/89: If the number is E4TE-AA = 302 / If E4TE-BA = 351W
