serious tire considerations

This tire was on a 4x4 Ford Econoline (by Quiqley) with Sportsmobile Conversion. Keep in mind that the van probably weighs close to 10k lbs. I just like to point out that picture
Not sure just what it took to make that happen.Brian J Wilson

I prefer BFG A/T tires myself. Good wear, decent noise control, and they stay together. I've never had a BFG fail nor have I personally heard of one.
They make the A/T KO, which is more geared towards trail/on-road/snow. If you're talking serious mud, they have the M/T, but it's much more aggressive and you give up some highway comfort/noise/handling in the process.
This much is for sure. When it comes to mixing off-road/on-road designs, there is NO perfect tire, only compromises.
