Wide Tires

How do you tell what tire you need when you wish to go fatter on the rear, and what off-set you need to keep it under the truck?

It would help to know what truck and what size comes stock.

Ok lets try this another way, how do you determine the offset needed in a wheel when you use a wide tire?

I would say for every inch wider you can assume about 13mm more of positive offset to push the wheel back under the truck. It kind of depends on how much room you have on the back side of the wheel. If you go with a wider wheel to accompany the wider tire you would want to increase the backspace aka going with a more positive offset.
