Bumper Adjustment

Hi. New to the forum. Is it possible to adjust the rear bumper sideways? On my '06 Lariat I just picked up, the bumper is about 1/4"-1/2" too far to the right. I have a tow package installed. How would I go about adjusting it to the left?
Thanks,
Steve

The rear bumper is attached to the truck by the hitch, if I remember right there are 10 bolts, theses are not adjustable. The only way to adjust the rear bumper is by the 6 bolts that the hitch it mounted to the frame with.

I have done this myself so it is possible to do.

You will need a 13/16th deep 1/2 drive socket, many need to put a pipe on the ratchet to get the leverage needed to break the bolts free. I had two friends hold the bumper while I loosen the bolts, made the adjust and tighten it back up. There is also up/down movement on the bolts so make sure both sides are even or the bumper with not be level from left to right.

Also don't take the bolts off all the way, just enough to move it, do this so that if who ever is holding it were to slip the bumper/hitch don't fall to the ground and rip the 7-pin from the truck! (almost happened to me)

When you get it were you want it tighten the bolts back to 129 Ft/lbs
