You have to create first the NEW FOLDER and name it as you want and then select the PMs you want to move to that folder, chose: move to folder (appears the name of the new folder) click GO and thats it.

From the user control panel under "Private Messages" is an option to "edit folders" that's where you go to "add new folder". After you name and save it it will show up in the PM screen.

Yeah I think that will be the case. I don't think it will matter how many folders they are in it still counts toward the max. Time to do some house keeping. You can delete all my PM's as they are generally worthless anyway. That should get you down to at least 150. LOL

Let the non computer moron step in here.

On the inbox screen, select the messages you want to save.
Down at the bottom where you usually delete the message, select "download to TXT"
It will ask you where to save the message, and will be in a TXT document form with no formatting.
Don't do XML, cause thats for web.
CSV is a forum type format, so don't use that as well.
Well, you can use that one.
I just use TXT format. but I have something like 800 messages avail. haha.

If you want to save them ALLL, instead of specific ones.
There is a download all as TXT on the bottom below the drop down menu.

oh yes, once you are done with the download, select DELETE from the menu and delete them. =)

The other trick is to delete your sent items.
If you send a lot of PM's, the Sent Messages will fill up the inbox really quick.

At the top of the inbox, select sent items from the drop down, and go in there and delete all, unless there are ones you want to save that you have sent, then download them and delete them.
that will give you plenty.
