A weird injector problem
1) had to replace three injectors (1-3-5),2 harnesses and a sensor on vacation.
2) two days later, had a bit of power loss and mileage dropped.Got home and found another bad injector (8) and two harnesses.
3)2 weeks later and after a bad battery connection, the service engine light wouldn't go out.Took car to dealer and he found a whole bunch of codes and finally narrowed it down.He then ran a injector test and there was a long buzz and 6 short ones.Ran it again and it did the same thing.but there were 7 buzzes.Tried once more and got 8 and again 8..So,ok,headed out on a 400 mile r/t trip pulling the trailer and coming home noticed the power dropped again.Went back to the dealer,he tested it again and we got a long and 6 shorts and then 8.
Somewhere there seems to be a problem, but mebbee the test is temporarily fixing it...Help,does anyone have any ideas.. I'm going both crazy and broke..
Trips to the dealer for a buzz test can get expensive pretty quick. Have you considered investing in your own scanner so you can do the buzz test yourself? AutoEnginuity PC Scan Tool (USB)
