Folks, hi, would like your cut on this opportunity. My neighbor wants to sell his 2001, F-350, crew cab, dually, 4X4, XLT, 7.3, 4.10's, Auto with 149000 miles. The truck is in excellent shape and he has all the maintenance records. He is willing to sell it to me for 9500.00.
This is really more truck than I need as I tow a 8000LB boat, but I think for the money it would be a good move. This would not be a daily driver.
I think that would be the perfect truck to pull your boat. Like you said, not a DD, only pulling boat. Check the truck out to make sure no leaks and it runs good. That is a great price for this truck. I would never let mine go for that. My truck is just like that one. See if you can get pics and post them.
Thanks for the gentle reminder. Truck died in a wreck in May 08, was T-boned in passanger side at intersection, truck is very well made, I walked away with only hurt pride, a headache and a lighter wallet.
Sold the Camper in June and bought the boat and 06 F150.
Glad the SD did it's job and protected you. The 01's were built every bit as tough if not more so. You will have all kinds of power mods if you want with the 7.3. May not get you back to what you were use to, but it will not let you down.
