C-6 case shift lever orientation?

I installed a TCI brand C-6 where a manual use to be. The shift lever on the tranny case points up and moves forward. I am trying to connect a Lokar shifter. The instructions say make sure the tranny is in park. Is that with the lever straight up or full forward? Have not installed the driveshaft yet, so it is kind of hard to figure out which position is park. The Lokar instructions say to cut off the stock shift lever if it interferes, but I only want to do that once I know where the park location is.

Slide the drive shaft in and move the shift lever all the way one way, try to turn the drive shaft, if it turns then your in manual low. Move the shifter the other way, the drive shaft will lock, that is park.

The c6 has many different linkages and they can point up or down.

You can spin it around if you need too by loosening the big nut on the inside and disconnecting the detent cam and rotating the linkage arm.

Thanks, I think I have it figured out. The lever straight up is Park and as the Lokar shifter handle moves toward the seat, the bottom of the lever pushes forward to move the linkage toward the dash and into Low all the way forward. I called TCI today and they confirmed what I suspected.
