backup lights
can anyone please send me a wiring diagram or tell me where i could get info on wiring up backup lights to 1984 f8000 (i have installed new lights and ran wire to the front of the truck but where do i connnect the wire to there is four wires coming from the automatic gear changer

I looked up a wiring diagram for a 83 chassis cab at work for you. If the wire colors are not the same I have found them to be close enough to follow. On that four wire bundle from the trans two are red/light blue. They are neutral start wires. Purple/orange comes from emergency flasher as a feed for the back up part of the switch. Output to the lights are black/pink or pink/black. Hope this helps. Also local libraries are a good source for this information.
