Will the Diablo chip work with the powerdyne supercharger? They say you do not need one but will it work with it? Hoping they do becuse i want the shift improvements from the chip for the tranny.
The chip will work with your Supercharger if it has been custom programmed for that supercharger. We can normally gain another 30-60 horsepower custom programming a chip for your blower. I am not sure which supercharger kit you have and how the kit fools the ecu into running the engine rich. Anytime that you add boost (air) you must also add fuel. More air with the same amount of fuel could lead to a fatally lean burning engine. I would not recommend running a stock chip of any manufacture with a supercharger added.

I am a bit familiar with that kit, 6# boost. The only problem with that kit is in the way extra fuel is added to the engine. The larger fuel pump raises the fuel pressure across the entire rpm range. That kit does not alter the timing or change the fuel curve to allow for less fuel because of less boost at low rpm and incremental raises in boost throughout the entire rpm range.A custom chip will add about 35hp and 45 ft/lb torque. I will need to know your fuel pressure at idle and max fuel pressure. We can gain quite a bit of power on the low end by altering the timing.
PS... I am a Powerdyne Dealer.......
