Hello i registered to this forum to maybe get some help from everyone here. heres wat i need help with, my dad has a 1971 F150 but he cant drive it anymore cuz the motor blew. i decided to look up on the f150 forums to see if i can get some advice on where and how i can get him a new...well not new motor for his pickup or if there is the possibility that another motor from another vehicle can fit in there. plz any help would be appreciated. thank you.
any ford motor should work. my 71 has a 302 from a mustang in it. just find one from the wreckers, or get his rebuilt. try to stay with the same type of motor so the mounts will still work.

Welcome to FTE
Dunno how much help you'll find on the F150 forum, because there was no such thing as an F150 till 1975.
Look at your VIN, the first three digits define what the truck is.

Thermactor Emission (smog pumps) on CA vehicles were first installed on 1/1/1966. All 1967's have it, but most F Series trucks after model year 1967 (thru 1972) do not.
1973, the smog pumps returned and were used for many years thereafter.
EZ way to tell if it had one, or not. The heads were drilled and tapped for the nut and ferrule from the smog manifolds, 4 per side-V8's (6's had 6 holes). The holes may be plugged, because...
Since day one, Ford has sold tapered plugs to fill the holes in the head(s):

It's on Maple Street in Orange, in an industrial complex.
Bill specializes in pre 1980 (computerized) Ford's, and does a lot of work for the SoCal Galaxies car club members (myself included).
is that the correct number Yes and do you have an address by any chance? Nope, sorry I don't. Since I've been there dozens of times, I don't need the address.
I just called 411, and asked for the number of Bill's Auto Repair in city of Orange.
