I think my Dad evacuated to San Antonio, but it looks like his little town is gonna get hit pretty hard. Look for Port O'Connor, Texas on any of the weather sites. He is stubborn though, so we will have to wait and see what happens. His house is only 75 yards from the beach, but it's 20 feet above the ground on concrete pilings. At the least he will get water up in the yard and garage, but the storm is a monster and he could lose a lot more.
My sister is in Houston, as is my brother. My other brother is in Alvin, which is one of the first towns that you come to after getting off of the causeway between Galveston and the mainland. I don't know if any of the three got out of town or not. I haven't been able to get anybody on the phone for a few days now. So I'd appreciate you guys keeping my people in your thoughts
I'm pretty sure that my grandparents are far enough away in Kingsville, that they will only get a little wind and a goodly amount of rain.
I heard from all of my people with the exception of a brother that lives in Alvin. Dad didn't even get rain. My sister has a generator and a small room A/C and is fine. My brother is going to try and get to Alvin to check on the other brother. Got a cousin in Clear Lake that lost almost everything. House is missing the roof and flood water got in almost to the ceiling. I have heard that the thing concerning alot of people is snakes.
