That Bites for you Cris! I seem to always get out of it. not on purpose though.... just always worked out in my favor, last time we were in the cort room we all sat down and one of the lawyer's walked in and said they just settled out of cort. How lucky is that!
2 more days Maybe 3 but they are real happy with the work.
I checked the mail today and I got called for Jury Duty........ I have to be at the Gilbert Court on Oct 7th.......
I just mailed my questionnaire for jury duty last week, the last thing I need right now is some long winded trial while I am trying to get my new business going. that would make for some long nights.
I have been called almost every 2 years since I turned 18, I have always gotten out of going since I was a stay at home mom with nobody to watch the kids. Can't use that excuse now that they are in school, dammit. I don't think they will pick me for anything I am too opinionated. LOL.
the last jury I was on there was about 200 prospective jurors in the court room, by noon they had 12 and was at about (J) so I figured I had it made and was going home. NOT! my name was the next called, I passed all the questions from the prosecuting attorney, the defense attorney and the judge and got selected, when the judge asked if there was any reason I shouldn't be on the jury I told him that I was the only mechanic for an EMS helicopter and that I got a lot of pages and phone calls, and was called to work quite often. his comment was that's ok I think we can work around it. so there I was on the jury for 4 days and doing all my work at night. one night I never went home I just went from the trial to work, worked all night and than drove back for the trial in the morning. no shower no sleep and the clothes from the day before.
