How much cheaper are casserly's compared to Beans? Do you have a link for the casserlys?

I dont know how much cheaper they are, but it's like cutting out the middle man, kind of like someone buying their product straight from your supplier instead of you, if that makes sense.

Ive done a little googleing and it looks as if he doesnt sell directly to the public in MOST cases, you gotta go through a vendor.. Not sure though.

Thats why I asked, couldn't find anything either. I know about the middle man thing. I go through that all the time. People always asking me where I get a certain product, I tell them and they call the company. Then they come back and buy it from me. lol

Do you typically get better MPGs with single shots? Other than more power from a single shots, are there any other differences?

I have been researching this for a while now. From what I've asked about singles and splits, I have found that all recommend going to singles w/ single shot programming. This would give the best of fuel economy and power increases. Split shots would not yield any better fuel economy without increasing air intake, such as a bigger turbo. For those who are not heavily modded, the singles would give you more bang for your buck without spending alot for upgrades. Just my 2 cents worth.

Theoretically, any comparable single shot injector to a split shot injector will give better power, and mileage. The method to produce the "split" shot used, is there is a small hole in the barrel of the oil side of the injector. As the intensifier piston passes over this hole it is uncovered, dumping the HPO right out into the valve covers. This delay of oil pressure pauses injection for a small time, which means the oil that was lost due to the split phase can be used in a single shot injector, there is no hole to dump oil, so single shots use about 30% less oil volume at the same pressure, which means that they can actually raise ICP, while improving mileage. After having single shots, split shots just sound ***** to me. Like when i was rolling up to the campfire the first night at Smokin, there was Jeremy, mike, brandon, and chris all standing around the camper and they made fun of how quiet and gay my truck sounded. The single shots make a powerstroke sound like it should. Ugh this Lorateb is strong...

When factoring the cost of big oil or new HPOP to get the full effect of split shots vs the cost of programming for the single shot tunes, you are still money ahead with the singles. From what I've heard, if there is a problem with your chip, and it is removed, you could still "limp along" with the stock programming without being completely shut down.

Just to add to what has already been said. I saw a 50 hp increase on the dyno after changing over to 175/146 single shots. About a 1 mpg gain, but I have a heavy foot. As Kris already said, the stock HPOP can maintain the ICP called for by the programs better than with split shots injectors. I installed the HPOP gauge before the injectors and I no longer get the - peak; then bleed off of ICP with the SES light going off - in the daily driver & tow programs. Maybe not so much in the extreme setting but I rarely go there. With that said I still do not set the SES light in the extreme setting.

Good to know, I can set off the SES light in 80E. I have the OA so unless it needs to get recalibrated its the ICP setting it off. Between the MPG gain and the efficiency beneifits it looks like single shots are a clear winner for me. Looks like its time to start saving!

Thanks for the link, Rich. That is a good price for the stage II injectors. Are they the same ones that Beans sells?

No increase in EGT's, the fuel is atomized better since the ICP can be maintained better. Also, these injectors have the stock nozzles.

Very good for towing.

But, you might need to consider a turbo upgrade with your setup.
