my truck wont turn over at all, all it does when i hit the starter is click once and then nothing unless i hit it again. i got the battery checked and its good but my dash voltage meter reads real low. i was wondering if mabye a bad ground at my starter would cause this. also lately (the last 6 months) my truck starts real slow when it gets hot. like the starter does not have enough power. but when it sets awhile then it started fine up until all this crap happend. im really confused and mad. please help me as i have to work tomorrow and do not do well with electronics.
i just checked the starter and the bendix will throw but then it stops as soon as its out. is this cause of lack of power to the starter or a bad starter?

If the starter drive goes out to its stop and the starter is not turning and you still have power on it then it is a bad starter or the contacts at the back of the solenoid.
Sounds like brushes to me.
