Need help bleeding clutch
The slave cylinder is not like the others that I have worked on. No brake line like valve.
I have read the chiltons and will try to gravity bleed it.
looking into the trans from the dust cover i see a bolt about 12mm. Is that the bleeder valve?
Please help me figure out how to do it.
WHy would they design it this way?
there does not seem like there is enough room get around in there.
I filled it back up the fluid and it is working better. I dont think that it will work all the air out of the system by itself
thanks

Now it wont work at all. I found the bleeder screw. I did not realize that the fill resevoir had a dust cap on it and I sucked in enough are to screw it all to hell. Now I wont work at all. I feel pretty stupid.
I really dont want to remove everything to bench bleed it as i never dont that before.
oh well

I will quit for today as I am a f#$(%((# moron
I will most likely have to pull the master cylinder and bleed it out of the car
I need to remove the clip on the lever.
How do we do that I have not worked on one of those before. Will I be able to reuse it or need a new one.

and the quick connect clip by the slave
any tricks to that
thanks for your help.

Fill the reservoir with fluid and have someone push the clutch in while you crack the screw/bolt in the access hole above where the hydro line enters the bell houseing. Then once you have a little bit of clutch push it to the floor and slip your foot off the pedal at the bottom. This will cause the pedal to slam to the upper position and suck any air bubbles out. I replaced the line and slave cylinder and it only took 5 times to get the system totally blead.
