My girlfriend has a '83 with a 2.9L V6. First off the battery keeps bein' drained when it sits over night (a lot of jump startin' and chargin' on the charger). Any suggestions why it's doin this?
Second when the truck is hits a bump all hte power temporarly dies out then comes back on after a second or two. Any suggestions why? How to check for a short? Any help would be appreciated.

It's probably not a short, just a small drain from something staying on. Take an ammeter and run from the neg batt cable to the post, this will show you the drain. Then it's a matter of pulling fuses until you find the circuit with the drain. (First off, check the courtesy lights above sunvisors if you have them.)
Good luck.
