Leaf Springs

Hey All... Forgive me, I dont own the truck, its for my buddy who doesnt have a computer at home at the moment (im currently putting a new one together for him)

He has a 97 F150 .. wants to know if the leaf springs in the back from a F250LD will fit?? He is doing quite a bit with the truck, work wise, lately and the small 3 leaf spring packs, are leaving alot to be desired.

Any thoughts? I suggested putting a set of the load helper air bags on the truck, for when he is hauling something heavy.. to not sacrifice the ride quality when empty..

However as to wether the LD springs will fit his 150... I cannot tell him, so im sure there is somebody on here that knows..

Thanks ya'll!

The 10.25 was designed for a 3" wide leaf pack origionally (the F150's use a 2.5" wide leaf). Whether or not Ford changed the spring perch on the LD's axle to accomodate a 2.5" leaf is the question...OR, if the LD's leafs are 3" wide...
