My son's BII has an aftermarket rear tube bumper. It needs to be replaced. Got any ideas? I could weld something up, but I think he's looking for something with that stock look.
He wants one size larger diameter tires, (since we don't want to play with gear ratios right now), a 2" inch front lift (Probably just a poly bushing set under the stock springs), and a 1" leveling block in the rear. That, with a stock rear bumper that's quite tucked to the frame like the front bumber is should make the lil Bronco look very nice and function quite well in suburban mud and snow. He's not going to be thrashing this thing off road.
So... Rear bumper options that have worked for you? Maybe something with an integrated tow reciever?
You could put on a step and tow bumper. My 1990 has one. I do not have a Ranger to compare, but, I am willing to bet it is a bolt on from a Ranger to Bronco II.
Heres my 90 with 2.5 lift front and rear,
and 31 BFG AT's.
front lift was done with the spacers. the rear was done with blocks
until I found out they had cracked in half so it is now repacked Explorer
springs.
Had 235/75R 15s on it when I got it and no lift.
Also has stock rear bumper and a Reese hitch.
I also purchased a book, Power Pro Series...
