I have a 2005 f150 with the single play cd player that has the aux button. I went to the Ford web site and they offer a cable called "Triptunes" that allows you to plug a 3.5" plug into it to access aan mp3 player.
the part # is 6R3Z-19A464-AA
Does anybody know if this cable allows you to access the mp3 or satellite player through the aux. button on the stock radio?
I can't get anybody at the local dealer who knows anything about this.
I thought this might be an alternative to buying the "pie" connector and it's only $50
thanks
Gregg
It's possible, but PIE and the others should give you much more control over an Ipod if you have one. Maybe someone can find a pinout for the CD changer plug, I can't imagine it using a digital signal so I would think you could find 2-4 wires that handled the analog audio.
