thanks folks for all your help in the last few weeks.I have learned alot about how an ignition system works. Below i stated that the starter would stay stuck. I had my old solenoid on,and i guess it had frozen stuck. So i put the new one on i had set aside. It solved that problem. BUT MY INITIAL PROBLEM STILL EXISTED..!! JUST A CLICK,,,CLICK when i turned the starter...So i said "hell i am gonna go buy another solenoid...AND THAT DID THE TRICK.....LESSON LEARNED? JUST BECAUSE YOU BUY SOMETHING **NEW** DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEANS IT'S GONNA WORK RIGHT!!!!whether buying it at Advance auto parts has something to do with it? i don't know....but all my headaches and troubleshooting was caused by buying a bad SOLENOID....hope you folks learn from my bad LUCK...see you folks...and hope i won't have to POST here for awhile...... ))) now i can take the boat out. ))) later))))))))
