DP-Tuner ROCKS !!!

I just got my pcm back with the 80 horse towing burn on it, and all I can say is wow! The difference is so amazing, I went from a truck that can haul slowly to a sports car that can haul fast. I also love the smoke, can't wait to get somebody on the street corner. The only question I have is, does the burn just change the engine settings or does it also change the transmission shift points. I am asking because it has been shifting funny ever since I put it in, and I want to make sure that my tranny is not on the way out. Also a big thank you to Jody and Diane who both answered my emails very promptly.

Yes permagrin is in full effect. I just hope and can keep my foot out of it or will be replacing a tranny very soon.

Have you tried any other tuners? Just wondering if you could compare them to each other.

I can, I had the bully dog power pup setup for 4 years. the bullydog 120hp program was equal to DP's 80 tow. DP's 120Race, and 140 aggressive are the cats meow. bullypuppy cant even hold a candle.

I have not tried any other tunes or tuners, but I doubt I will after the performance boost I got out of the 80 tow. I would love to see what the 140 hp setting does. Does anybody know the difference of programing between the 80 tow and the 80 ecno?

Yep, I had the SuperChips 1705 tuner for a few years and though I was happy. Then I got my DP-Tuner with tunes listed below. The DP runs cooler and way more power in 80E than the SuperChips had on the max setting (120) I think. Only regrets I have is wasting my money on anything other than a DP-tuner. Save yourself the time and money, go first class the first time and get the DP-Tuner.

I have noticed that you have to keep a good eye on the EGT's. With the dp mine will climb up to 1,200 with little effort.

Really? I have to really get on mine in either 80 hp tunes to get that high without a load. With a load it still takes a heavy foot to get there. Maybe time for a larger exhaust. What is your boost numbers?

I didn't even look at the boost numbers. It gets right at 1,100 degrees when I put it to the floor and hold it there.

Good Job. Hopefully it wont be to much longer before I can get one. Call Mark at MKO to hook you up with some exhaust. You won't believe the difference it will make.
