P0069 Dtc 2004 Psd
I've had a DTC on for about a month now, P0069 (MAP calibration). I had a loss of power (spitting and sputtering) last week which cleared up after a few miles. I have 40k on the truck. I am guilty of babying the truck (fuel costs) and driving minimal miles to and from work. I do try to "open" it up when I can to eliminate carbon buildup. I do have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow. What do you guys think about the problem?
Also.......my warranty is almost up on the engine (5yr/100k). I was thinking about buying 2 extra years on the motor and/or trans, but my service writer said it's expensive and since my mileage is low it may be a waste of money???? Any thoughts?
What do you gurus recommend I do to eliminate the problems Or prevention stuff to avoid hassles that plague these trucks, after my warranty is done (april '09)....EGR delete etc etc?
