People are running the Baldwin on the high pressure side? I don't know if I've seen that. I'd like to see how well that holds up too.

A lot of people are running this Baldwin BF7633 Filter as a post pump filter. Note it is a 2 micron. That filter or it's WIX equivalent.

No picture in the link. Is it a spin on filter or a dedicated high pressure in-line? Also, is rated for pressure, or is it just getting used there if it's a spin on?

So some people are using a 2 micron prepump filter? Does that filter flow enough?
Im using a Baldwin BF1212 or BF7558 Fuel Filter Element 10 micron...
Im now switching to a BF7587 same as a wix 33674, 2micron filter...

Do we really need psot pump filtering if prepump is 2micron... Any downside to running 22micron pre, and 2 micron post? Only thing I need then is a fuel/water seperator added in.

I think the main concern is your pump failing and sending pieces down stream to the injectors.

So Im thinking...
Lift pump Carter P4070
Pre Pump filter BF7558 (2micron), using FB1301 base.
Stock pump.
Post Pump filter BF7558 (2micron), using wix24770 base
Water/fuel seperator... not sure if befor or after... does it make a diff? BF5812 using FB1301 base.

I run,

Tank - Dahl 150 (10 micron) - Carter Lift Pump - Stock Pump - Stock Fuel Bowl (which is 2 micron). My Scan Gauge says 62 psi at idle.

I think the Dahl filters are some of the best water separators you can get. The Dahl 150, even at 2 microns, will flow more fuel than what your PSD will consume, even if you have some huge injectors. I'm using the Dahl again for my conversion as my pre-pump filter. It can't be mounted post pump though. It's a suction only filter.

As for post pump, the only one I considered previously was from Permacool, and it's also a water seperator as well. Fuel Filter & Water Separator Kits

The one I'm using post pump on the conversion is this one. Glacier Diesel Power - Product Detail I don't know what flow ratings are for it though, but I'm sure you could call and find out.

I would definately run a post pump filter though. Given the cost of injectors, a post pump filter is simply cheap insurance.
