wish me luck guys, my 07 crew cab 4x4 powerstroke has been framed out, all 4 wheels free spinning all night, and i am about to go shovel it loose and hook the big john deere tractor to it. was driving out of my buddies 2 rut driveway, got 200 yards from pavement and it bogged down. I have pulled alot of people from the same spot over the years, and the road usualy has a firm base below the slop. well FAY did a job on it. tryed a 02 7.3 and a midsize kubota last night to no avail it wont budge. no way to get a wrecker in to it, road is sloppy and curvy. if the JD cant get it then I have to call for a bulldozer.

If it's a good sized tractor, a piece of chain/cable will do the trick. You don't need the stored energy in the ropes. I've been through that before, and it's not fun. We had a built 78 F150 with a 460 and 36" rvts on the frame. We pulled down a 20' pine tree with the winch, then several trucks failed, then we got a tractor out there. Traction and chains are a great combo.
