Remember that old commercial for LEXUS where they stacked all those champagne glasses on a running LEXUS engine? WELL, to take it one step better, after we finished installing the new power steering hose we did our own test on Burt with the engine running at 800 RPMs.... Just look at the steady liquid in that bottle! It doesn't look like the engine is running by looking at the AC pulley but I promise it was! (we did warm tequila shooters after this photo was taken...
I thought i was the only one who used an alcoholic beverage as a tuning device lol, i like to take an empty beer can and just for kicks set it on my air cleaner and see if it rattles or "walks" off, the slightest miss or erratic idle will get the beer can moving but @800 rpm idle speed it's invariably steady as a rock.
Today I am taking off the camper and the overload springs for good, and last night I bought a travel trailer.. will pick it up this weekend. I was just really missing being able to "just drive" my truck with that monster camper on it. (by the way, the camper is available.. REALLY cheap) Burt will now be styling again.
Can't wait to "chirp" the tires again now and then!
musta been the shots that drove me to it!
