Cell Phone Memory Card

Recently got myself a Motorola KRZR. Slick little phone. Anyway, I've been looking around for a memory card for it. The place where I got my phone wants $100 for a 2 gig, a different cell phone place wants $120 for a 4 gig, and London Drugs (sells pretty much everything from prescription drugs to home theaters) wants $60 for an 8 gig.

Their prices for the 4 and 2 gig go down relatively from the $60.

I figure I can get one on fleabay, but what exactly should I be looking for? Name brand? Max memory? Some cell phone reviews say the KRZR can't handle anything more than a 4 gig anyway.

Input anyone?

What type of card does the KRZR take??

I believe it is a Micros SD, but not sure..

If it does then you can get a 2GB for $7.00 at New EGG

Are you sure your looking at the right memory cards? MicroSD cards are dirt cheap, like what was mentioned earlier in the thread. If they are really charging that much for the cards, that is down right robbery.

Yeah, it does take the Micro SD. Should have mentioned that. Basically wanted to confirm what I was reading. But $7.00?!? That's friggen cheap.

The prices I listed must be a Canada thing.

But then, when my wife and I were on our honeymoon, we got a 512 Memory Stick for our camera at CompUSA for $100 US, in 2003. Closest we could get in Canada at the time was the 256 for $100, Canadian.

I'm gonna check out those links now.

Well, after doing a bit more digging, I found a review that said he couldn't use bluetooth headphones with it. Kinda pointless. Anyways... The whole point to my quest was to get the micro SD, load a bunch of music on it, and listen to that music with bluetooth earbuds.

Heck, if I wanted hardwired earbuds, I'd just use my current mp3 player.

Heck, I already do that.

Maybe I'll get an iPod nano for Christmas instead. (If I'm lucky.)

I bought a 2gig memory card for my samsung sync last year for under $20 at walmart they wanted $60 at AT&T,I haven't even come close to maxing it out yet and I use it for photos and a vid camera all the time,it will hold 5000 songs to but I haven't put any music on it yet and the wife got me a sweet pair of BT headphones for it at X-mas time.
