starter wont crank
here is what is going on .... i am un able to get the start to crank.........i have replace relay, cables, starter, well here is what is happen i had the truck running and i trun it off and no am unable to get it running again .... i how ever get a click click click click click on the relay i have agian replace that 3 time this week thinking i have shorted it out i have taken apart and chceked all the wires and have found nothing am lost to what to do any ideas to what might be happen??

Do you have jumper cables? Make sure the truck is out of gear and take one jumper cable and hook to the large connection on the solenoid going to the starter. Take the other end and hook to the other side of the solenoid. Does it crank? If not, look for smoke on one of the battery posts. This will be a bad connection. If still nothing, put the jumper cable directly on the battery. Still nothing? Take all this off and run a jumper cable from negative battery to the engine block. Still nothing? Swap batteries. After this, all that's left is the starter cable/starter. Also make sure the mounting surface of the starter is not all cruded up with oil and dirt.
