6.0 woes

Sounds like it could be a high pressure oil problem if you're getting no fuel and I'd think that they could figure out if it was a fuel pump or filter thing pretty quick.

I believe that there is a fitting on the high pressure oil pump that is prone to leaking and pretty much any leak Fs up the whole works. I'd post this in the 6.0 forum and would probably take it to another dealer for a 2nd opinion.

Had your same/similar problem with my '06 F-350 w/ 6.0 diesel. Sometimes it acted like it was taking fuel, stumble at acell, hard to start, let it set and it would start. Then one day running great, stopped at a friends for a minute (and yes he is a GM guy) and it just would not start, let it cool but no dice, set over night no dice. Sent it to the dealer aas itisunder warranty, I talked to service tech in detail (I'm ASE Master truck but in management now). eliminated several things and decide it was a fitting on high psi pump, replaced it and all is well 10,000 miles - 4 months later
