That's a pretty good price for the Cooper ATR's in that size (18" are way more expensive than 17" or 16" tires in the stock size). I installed the exact same size on my truck back in spring of this year and they cost me $1,100CDN out the door balanced and installed. (I am in Canada, however, and we usually pay a lot more than you do down in the USA for things like our tires, our parts, our trucks, our gas, ....pretty much everything!!)
I got 35x12.50x17 pro comp mud terrains with 48000 on them with a lot more life and i think they are also made by Cooper. They also usually twice a year have a buy 3 get one free deal. They are not to aggressive looking but its hard to argue with the tread life. I think Cooper also supplies Mickey Thompson so shop around the name may change but the manufacturer stays the same. Tread life is more a balance of keeping proper air pressure and regular rotations i have found. Make sure you factor in tire balancing and rotations to the final price. Over the couse of 50000 miles free balancing and rotations will more than make up for any internet savings. Just my experience and 2 cents, next time I will purchase Coopers from a local dealer that throws in these freebies.
If I can get a good deal on a replacement set I'd get another set. They've been good from the standpoint of not being noisey and a good all around tread design.
