So its finally time for me to get rid of the gas hog and get me a powerstroke. I've drive the 7.3s the 6.0 and the 6.4s on the farm back home but i'm looking at a 7.3 with 182,000 miles for 11,995. It has a brand new BDS Trans New 5" dual exhaust lift tires grille guard etc. Should i be concerned about high miles?

Yes, you should be concerned about high mileage, and when it get to be high check back with us. The BTS tranny has replaced one of the biggest weak points, and from the looks of the truck it was well maintained, at least on the out side. Is it coming from a FTE member? Kinda looks familiar.
Nice looking truck. I think you will be very happy with this trade. Just make sure to check all the fluids, and see if the guy has a meant. history for the truck. Like Barry said, I would think you meant to say BTS. If so, you are one giant step to the good.
Let us know what you do. And welcome to this forum.
HOLY CRAP what a deal!!! Assuming it's been maintained well, but it's not likely that someone would buy a BTS trans and let everything else go to crap. If you don't buy it PM me - I just might!! SERIOUSLY!!
Looks nice for sure! That price would be way high if it weren't for the trans in there. Get an OASIS report and check the truck over good- brakes, ball joints, U-joints, etc. If it checks out, buy it and don't look back.

High mileage on a maintained powerstroke engine starts at around 500,000 miles and even at that point they still run like new.
If they have been abused then they don't make it to 100,000.
Some people run the chip too hot and then they end up with cracked pistons.
