I must have been very lucky the other day because I happened to stumble apon an 1979 F350 Custom 4x4 at a local junkyard. I know it has the Dana 60 in front and a Dana 70 in the rear. I've been in the hunt for these axles for a while now, because I'm considering to put a set of these under a '94 F150 and setting the front end up with either a three or four link suspension.
Questions:
1.Is their a disc brake conversion available for the Dana 70?
2.What is the difference in width between the Ford 8.8-TTB44 and the Dana 60 and Dana 70?
What year is your 60 comin out of?
If you really have on i could be intrested....
A 82-91 i belive kp d60 would be perfect for me.
What gear ratio does it have, and what kinda shape is it in.
Shoot me an PM with a price if your lookin to get rid of it.
One thing to remember with putting the rear axle from a '79 into a '94, the '79 was a gear driven speedo and the '94 is an electronic speedo. On the '94 the info comes from the VSS mounted on the rear axle.
