Hey guys, I need some advice on preserving the bed on my 73 f100. I searched the forums but couldn't find any specific anwers... I want to get a linex spray in coating put in my truck bed. My question is in regards to the prep work that I should do before hand. There is a slight amount of rust in the bed right now with about 3 or 4 rust holes the size of half dollars at the front of the bed.
Do I need to strip the old paint out of the bed and treat the rust before putting down a spray in lining? I was thinking about having the inside of the bed sandblasted and then using por's metal ready and patch paste and then applying a few coats of por-15 before having the spray in liner put down. Do you think this is overkill?
If I do end up getting the bed media blasted is it ok to leave the bed on the truck for this?

Most likely no need to blast it ,,linex does the prep .. If its rusty all over ,,different story ..
fix the holes ,paint it anyway you want ,,,do the Linex...
