clutch chatter

installed a rebuilt clutch from local auto parts store about 1 year ago.the problem is heavey chatter in reverse.yes i did have the flywheel turned. no problems going forward.i also have new motor mounts & trans mount.so bad at times cant even back up. any suggestions? z bar has new bushings & seals also. the truck is a 68 with 390.thanks for the help!

sounds like a tranny or driveshaft issue to me

I had similar issue with new clutch(even though everything was done right). I ended up pulling it out and replacing it with a new one from different manufacture. Didn't re-turn flywheel or anything, unbolt old-bolt up new and it was smooth as glass(to this day).

ditto.....I had this problem with a remaned clutch. I took the pressure plate to a driveline place and they set it up(adjusted) correctly. No more trouble.
