Tank switch/ valve question

I have a 78' F-150 Ranger XLT SCAB. Either my tank switch isn't working or the valve isn't working, any ideas how to test each one to find out which one is the prob. Thanks.

yeah go under the truck unplug the wire on the valve and use a test light have somebody flip the switch from tank to tank if u get power there its your valve
