running E-30 in a 99 malibu.

I'm just wonderin if my Malibu with a 2.4 could handle running E-30. A guy i was talking to said it could handle it with no problem. is this true?
What do you guys think?

Why would you?

Any monetary savings would be erased by the loss in mileage. Ethanol is nothing but another heavily-subsidized, wasteful gov't program.

It should say in the owner's manual. There was an E85 version, but don't know what the other one could handle. FWIW, most non-E85 cars can handle 10% max.

Well my friend mentioned he ran it in his car. Its a like a early 90s geo metro. He said that his mpgs droped a little but not way to much. My car didnt come with a manual. I dont think im going to run E-30 in it anyway.

I've been running about 30% in my 91 Cavalier for about 2 months now,I run about 4-500 miles a week, no troubles, only 1-2 mpg loss. It did match my normal mpg on one tank, so it isn't far off from normal. I have to mix it together here, we don't have the selectable pumps like you have out there.
